To summarize, Central Okanagan Sales were down -30% and listings were up +40%, which definitely creates a “buyers’ market”.
The next Bank of Canada rate announcement is scheduled for April 10th. Although we aren’t expecting much from it, we do hope that some continuity may help buyers’ confidence return to the market. Also, many buyers DO like to move during the summer months, or be settled with their families before the September school year starts, so this will likely boost up activity quite a bit in the coming months.
